		2010 Libertarian Party Candidate
			U.S. Congress, Kansas 2nd District
Text Box: I support Free Markets, not “crony capitalism”
Stop taxpayer-funded handouts to private business.
End centralized economic planning by politicians and bureaucrats.
Regulate inflation and interest rates naturally, with commodity money.

I support National Defense, not “nation building”
Withdraw U.S. Forces from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Defend America, not Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, etc.
End U.S. taxpayer-funded aid to foreign governments.

I support Limited Government to protect American life, liberty and property
Amend the U.S. Constitution to require a balanced federal budget.
Keep government out of Americans’ personal lives and private business.
Federal taxes and budgets for constitutional federal purposes only.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve made a career of analyzing failures in complicated electronic systems and identifying the root of the problem. I earn a living by finding and fixing problems - not by giving temporary relief for the symptoms of broken equipment. Before you vote for more of the same, Republican or Democratic, please take a look at my positions on the issues and the libertarian principle from which my positions are derived. I’ll work on the solution, not the symptoms.

The Libertarian Party was formed in 1971, in response to mainstream politicians’ repeated mistakes and continual failure to strike at the root of America’s social, economic and foreign policy problems. In 1971 the U.S. economy was stagnant under pressure from politicians’ interference and it was drained by overspending of taxpayers’ money. President Nixon discarded the last remnants of the gold standard. America was engaged in a long, unproductive war - reluctant to pull out and unwilling or unable to make the commitments necessary to win.

Now 2010 looks a lot like 1971. Have Republicans and Democrats learned anything in the last 39 years? They’re still making the same mistakes with no end in sight. Whether they’re Left-wing, Right-wing or Centrist - they have no new ideas. It’s time for a new political party with new ideas to move America forward, not left or right.
